About This Project
In August 2018, in partnership with Chamos Charity, we started our first TPS program in the community El Calvario, El Hatillo municipality with 16 students between 9 and 14 years old at the El Carmen Cooperative.
With the participation of the Swiss photographer Yvan Rodic we learned photography tips and how this can be a tool to show our point of view. Different tours were made in the community and when choosing the space to be transformed, La Gramita (current ball court) and the spaces surrounding the María May School were tied. After conducting a debate, it was concluded that the site to be transformed would be the wall of the María May Municipal School and the spaces surrounding it.
Finally, 115 m2 were transformed that included the winning proposals in the exhibition that included: mural on the wall, an open-air museum, the footprints of values, games to promote the values of the community, and place a ping pong table and chess.
