About This Project

During the month of November 2019 the story contest “A story for El Calvario” was held, in which 58 boys and girls from public and private schools in the El Hatillo municipality participated, of which only 14 stories were finalists. Among the jurors were Jairam Navas, radio host; Samuel Díaz, Founder of Nutriendo Futuro; Claudio González, member of the community and Nacho Palacios, short story writer. After reading each story in Plaza Bolívar in El Hatillo, the story named “My cute and colorful neighborhood” by Alexandra Requena, a 10-year-old girl who lives in El Calvario, El Hatillo Municipality, was selected to be painted along stair # 1 in the same community.

The first transformation day was the second week of December of the same year, where we had more than 15 volunteers and residents of the community painting the stairs. The second day was carried out with the support of 12 people who were in the process of training to be TS facilitators and finally on January 25, 2020 the intervention was inaugurated. This program was carried out thanks to the support of Chamos Charity.
