About This Project

During the morning of April 27, 2018, 30 boys, girls and adolescents from 6th grade learned construction tools to make 30 seedling-type planters made with recycled wooden pallets and reused plastic containers in collaboration with the Alimenta la Solidaridad program, volunteers and teachers.

For the development of the workshop, the students were divided into groups by stations (marking, cutting, drilling, sanding, assembling, varnishing, sowing and staking) to learn the construction technique.

The planters were placed on one of the internal walls of the schoolyard and now function as a planters for herbs and edible plants such as parsley, thyme, chives, and others that can be used in the community dining room.
